We invite you to make a difference in your community!
The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana (JLCU) reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. If you are interested in making a commitment to volunteering in the Champaign-Urbana area, please join us!

Eligibility and Admission for Membership
To be eligible to join the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana, a woman must be 21 years old by June 1 of the year
in which she is seeking membership.
No member sponsorship is required to join the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana.
We accept new members each spring/summer to participate in our New Member Class.
Information meetings for interested women will be held this year on June 10 and July 8 – both at 6:30pm.

for details about these meetings and/or to RSVP.
The deadline for joining our New Member Class this year is August 12.

After a welcoming meeting for new members in August, the New Member Class meetings will be held the first Tuesday
of the month from September through February..

Membership Requirements
* Develop an understanding of the JL purpose, demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to the community,
and show a willingness to be trained as volunteers.

* Attend monthly New Member Class meetings beginning in September and ending in February.

* Attend monthly Junior League of Champaign-Urbana General Membership meetings beginning in September
and ending in May.

* Notify a member of the Membership Development Committee when unable to attend a New Member Class or
General Membership meeting.

* Complete a total of 13 volunteer hours (7 hours at Festival of Trees, our annual fundraiser, 3 hours on
a JLCU project, and 3 hours on either a JLCU project or fundraiser) by May 31.

* Participate in the New Member Class project, Kids in the Kitchen (KITK).

* Pay the required New Member dues of $118.00 by the August meeting. Dues are 100% tax deductible.
